The 5-gallon steel military gasoline can (fig. 2-1) is

covered by specification MIL-C-1283D. The can is in-

tended for use in transporting liquid fuels by comrner-

cial common carriers, military motor vehicles, aircraft

or vessel transportation, and for storaging and

dispensing of liquid fuels.
