Follow-on Maintenance INITIAL  SETUP: Tools NOTE Tool kit, general mechanics, item 35, section III, Only remove panels and components in the area appendix B which requires repair. References General Safety Instructions TM 9-237 Wear personal protective equipment when using cleaning solvent. Equipment Condition Pump removed (para 5-23). Axle removed (para 5-27). Fuel tank removed (para 5-11). a. Cleaning/Inspection. WARNING Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 is toxic and flammable.  Wear protective goggles and gloves and use only in a well ventilated area.  Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes and don't breathe vapor.  Do not use near  open  flame  or  excessive  heat.    The  flash  point  is  1000F-1380F  (380-500C).    If  you  become  dizzy while using cleaning solvent, get fresh air immediately and get medical aid.  If contact with eyes is made, wash your eyes with water and get medical aid immediately. (1) Clean frame and braces with cloth and dry cleaning solvent P-D-680.  Dry thoroughly. (2) Inspect all welds for cracks. 5-98
