(2) Regulator test (shorted).
NOTE
Mount alternator on test stand, shaft rotating at 3000 RPM to perform this test.
(a)
Measure voltage at terminal A. The meter should indicate approximately 14 volts.
(b) Increase RPM to 4000. If voltage at A increases beyond 15 volts, regulator is shorted. Replace
regulator.

Install alternator (para 4-35).
