Remove brackets only if replacement is needed.

Remove four nuts (18), four lockwashers (19), eight flat washers (20 and 22), four screws (21), and two
brackets (23).
b.
Cleaning/Inspection.
(1)
Inspect housing for cracks, dents or other damage.
(2)
Inspect clamps and brackets for thread bareness, cracks, or other damage.
(3)
Inspect inlet hood and valve vacuator for holes or other damage.
(4)
Inspect service indicator and extension. If worn, repair by replacement.
(5)
Replace all parts failing inspection.

Installation.
NOTE
If brackets were not replaced, skip step 1.

Install two brackets (23) with eight flat washers (22 and 20), four screws (21), four new lockwashers (19),
and four nuts (18).
