Locknuts (8) - MS17829-4C
Self-locking nut (8) - MS17829-4C
Cage nuts (4) - 13229E8444
a.
Removal.
(1)
Remove eight locknuts (1), 16 flat washers
(2), eight screws (3), two retainers (4), and
two seals (5) from rear lower panel (6).
(2)
If damaged remove cage nuts (7).
b.
Cleaning/Inspection.
(1)
Inspect seal for tears, deterioration, or other
damage.
(2)
Inspect retainers for thread bareness or other
damage.
(3)
Replace all defective parts.
c.
Installation.
(1)
If removed, install four cage nuts (7)
(2)
Install two seals (5), two retainers (4), 16 flat washers (2), eight screws (3), and eight locknuts (1) to rear lower
panel (6).
d.
Follow-on Maintenance. Install lower rear panel (para 4-21).
