CRANKCASE BREATHER (1).  Allows crankcase venting which reduces the concentration of acids and water in the oil.  A clogged breather element will cause an increase in crankcase pressure. OIL FILL INLET (2).  Inlet for adding lubricating oil to engine. LUBE OIL PUMP (3).  A gear type pump used to distribute oil from the oil pan to the oil filters and then distributed throughout the engine to lubricate moving parts. OIL DIPSTICK (4).  Allows measurement of oil level in engine crankcase when the engine is not running. OIL FILTERS (5).  Removes metal particles and products of heat decomposition from circulating oil. 1-14'
