TM 10-4320-307-10 SECTION III. TECHNICAL PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION 1-12   GENERAL. a. This section provides a functional description of the pumping assembly for the operator. b. The pumping assembly is a skid-mounted diesel engine driven centrifugal mainline pump.  The operational output is 800 gpm at 1800 feet of head when pumping liquids with a specific gravity of 0.72.  It is designed to pump petroleum products or water at a maximum operational output of 800 gpm.  The pumping assembly is directly coupled to a turbocharged diesel engine.  Controls are contained in the control panel mounted on the side of the assembly.  The pump and engine are mounted on a skid assembly.  The pumping assembly consists of the following five major functional units. (1)  Pump Assembly (1) (2)  Engine and Engine Systems (2) (3)  Speed Increaser with Clutch (3) (4)  Control Panel (4) (5)  Coupling Assembly (5) RIGHT SIDE VIEW 1-9
