TM 10-3835-231-13 CHAPTER 4 UNIT MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS Section I.  LUBRICATION INSTRUCTIONS Lubrication instructions are in Appendix F of this TM.  All lubrication instructions are mandatory. Section II.  REPAIR PARTS, TOOLS, SPECIAL TOOLS, TEST, MEASUREMENT AND DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT (TMDE), AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT Repair  parts  are  listed  and  illustrated  in  the  Repair  Parts  and  Special  Tools  List  TM  10-3835-231-23P.    Mandatory replacement parts are listed in Appendix I, Mandatory Replacement Parts List. Tools and test equipment requirements are listed in Appendix B, Maintenance Allocation Chart.  For authorized common tools  and  equipment,  refer  to  the  Modified  Table  of  Organization  and  Equipment  (MTOE),  CTA  50-970  as  applicable  to your unit. No special tools, test, measurement and diagnostic equipment, or support equipment is required for maintenance of this equipment. Section III.  SERVICE UPON RECEIPT 4-1.  UNLOADING. Various components of the TPT are packaged in containers designed for reuse.  Care should be-taken to avoid container damage. (1) Remove all blocking and tiedowns that may have been used to secure the container to the carrier. WARNING Do  not  allow  items  to  swing  while  suspended  from  a  lifting  device.    Failure  to observe warning may result in injury to personnel and damage to equipment. CAUTION Use  care  in  handling  equipment  to  avoid  damage.    If  an  overhead  lifting  device must be used, use an appropriate sling so that the weight of the item is borne by the base of the shipping container. (2)  Use  a  forklift  truck  or  other  suitable  material  handling  equipment  to  remove  the  packaged  items  from  the carriers. 4-1
